Additional Information about Andropogon gerardii 'Indian Warrior'

'Indian Warrior' forms a very upright vase of green foliage that takes on first purples then bronzes as summer turns to autumn. It makes a terrific and colorful alternative to the larger Miscanthus. Big bluestem is a tall, native grass that used to be the dominant grass of the tall grass prairies of North America. It's also called turkey foot because the flowers resemble...well...a turkey's foot. Another terrific big bluestem from Brent Horvath.
