Apple Crisp
Traditional Apple Crisp
Featuring the following Saunders Brothers plants:

6 cups apples sliced 1/4" thick |

2 Tbsp. cornstarch |
|
1/2 cup rolled oats |
|
1/4 cup packed brown sugar |
|
6 Tbsp. light margarine or butter |
|
|
|
1/2 cup sugar |
|
2 Tbsp. lemon juice |
|
1/2 cup all-purpose flour |
|
2 Tbsp. chopped walnuts |
|
Directions
Preheat oven to 375. Coat a 1-quart casserole with nonstick spray. In a large bowl, mix the apples, sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice. Spoon into the prepared casserole dish.
In the same bowl, mix the oats, flour, brown sugar and walnuts. With a fork, beat in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Sprinkle over the apple mixture. Bake for 45 minutes or until lightly browned and bubbling.
